In this session we will do the following:

  1. Briefly discuss the scientific method and the importance of peer-review in the publication of research.
  2. We will discuss the structure of a journal article and how to distinguish peer-reviewed literature from review articles and popular science publishing.
  3. Identify a suitable journal article from the given articles to include in RefWorks format.

Samples of popular and peer-reviewed publications will be discussed. A group exercise will help you examine the various types of publications in detail and note the differences.
